CS: Well, your family has a long history here at VCS. Exactly how long have you been here?
Kim: Since pre-school, so 14 years.
CS: In all that time you must have seen a lot of changes. Are there any in particular that you remember?
Kim: Having Dr. Cashin leave was a big change, and it was sad to see him go, and just seeing all the people come and go over the years.
CS: In what grade and under what teacher do you think that you learned the most?
Kim: Seventh and eighth grade with Mrs. Canton, she was a great English teacher and taught me all the grammar I know.
CS: What are your plans after graduation?
Kim: I’m going to Palm Beach Atlantic University in Florida in the fall.
CS: Ideally, where do you see yourself in ten years?
Kim: I’d like to own my own business which hopefully will be off the ground and running by then.
CS: What are your fondest memories here at VCS?
Kim: There are so many to choose from. Definitely all the field trips – Battleship Cove, Cape Cod, Boston – and being part of all the different teams – basketball, soccer, frisbee – have been memorable.
CS: You’ve participated in many extracurricular activities. Do you have a particular favorite?
Kim: Being on soccer and basketball teams have been a fun experience. Also, putting on “Peter Pan.” That was my favorite play with lots of good memories from that.
CS: Name three people who have positively influenced you and made you the person you are today.
Kim: My mom and my sisters, Becky and Juliana.
CS: Any last words?
Kim: Live, laugh, learn.
